I recently made this picture collage as a Christmas gift for my mom. I'd seen this picture on Pinterest and just had to try it. The only problem was, there weren't any step-by-step instructions. Or maybe there were and I was just to lazy to read them, I can't remember. Anyway, I thought I'd shape with you how to make one.
Materials:
-A plain piece of wood (I got mine at Michaels in that weird wood section that may or may not actually have a purpose. I liked it because it was prettily carved and smooth but you could probably use any old scrap of wood)
-Wooden or cardboard letters that you can hot-glue onto your collage (these I also got at Michaels.)
-Modge Podge and a foam brush
-Modge Podge seal and shine spray
-Hot glue gun
-Black and white pictures
- Red and Black paint and paint brushes (optional)
Process:
1. Cut out your pictures and arrange them on your piece of wood.
2. Use the Modge Podge and foam brush to glue them into place (If you can't get the pictures to cover the outer part of the wood -like it it's round- paint the edges black).
3. Once they're all in place, go over the top of the pictures with another coat of Modge Podge. Do this another 3-5 times.
4. Spray with the Modge Podge seal spray 2 or 3 times.
5. Hot glue your letters onto the collage (If the letters aren't the color you like-mine were white and I wanted red- paint them a different color before gluing (?) them )
6. Hang it up and enjoy!!
