I absolutely loved Girl in the Shadows! It's not action-packed or super fast paced, but it was really good. Moira has always lived in the shadows backstage at her dad's magic show, and she's always wanted to be a magician, but her father is totally against it. So she does the obvious thing. She steals her friend's Cirque invitation, lies to her father, and runs away. At the Cirque, she learns some very interesting, new things about herself and gets into a smidge (HA!) of trouble. She also meets the Dez, the cutie-knife throwing-patootie whom she is instantly attracted to. The only problems for me though, were how easily Moira accepted things. If a stranger told me something life changing, or I'd just met my mom for the first time, I'd doubt them. Also, If the man I loved lied to me, I wouldn'y be able to just get over it. But other than that, it's great. In conclusion, Girl in the Shadows is amazing, and I couldn't put it down. I'd recommend it to anyone.
