Kelly Oram is one of my absolute favorite authors. I love the Jamie Baker Series ( the third book comes out soon) the Avery Shaw Experiment, Serial Hottie, and the first Supernaturals book. So when I got an email saying I could get an ARC, I just had to do it!
If we were a movie Is-following the tradition of every other Kelly oram book- AWESOME. It's funny, dramatic and makes you want to keep reading. Now, I promised I wouldn't give away any spoilers, so I'm going to try to give a summary without them (yikes!).
Nathan Anderson moves to NYU on a music scholarship. But his brothers-they're triplets- decide to "surprise" him by getting a dorm together. The housing situation drives Nathan crazy, but he's not brave enough to stand up to them. When his brothers cause a huge mishap though, he knows something has got to change. Then, a chance encounter with an old woman changes his life and opens up a great new opportunity. His new roommate Jordan, a movie obsessed film major, changes his life. As Nathan makes new friends and a new life, he must also deal with all the curveballs thrown by his brothers and girlfriend (I wish I could say what but I can't!!!!).
The one thing I didn't like about this book was how weak Nathan is. He wouldn't stand up to his brothers, which I guess I could live with, but he didn't stand up to his girlfriend either. He was just going to let her drag him along until she got everything she wanted. And, he stood up FOR her. Like what she did wasn't at all wrong. He understood and wasn't mad. That just seemed so stupid to me. Half the time, Nathan just seemed so stupid to me. His choices were so odd it made me angry at him.
Really though, it was an awesome book. I couldn't put it down, and was super sad when it was over.
